This course will aim to address these fundamental questions by looking, not only at the science of managing child behaviour, but also the art. The guidelines and evidence base for many of the classic behaviour management techniques will be questioned and cultural differences in approaches will be discussed. We will be investigating the factors which impact on the behaviour of children in the dental surgery and what you can do to influence these. By exploring techniques which are commonly used together with your own personal style we will aim to identify any good or bad habits in your behaviour management approach. The session will provide you with practical tips to take back to your surgery which should contribute towards more successful management of your child patients and their parents This is an interactional session . | ||
